Please read the following selection of verses from the New Testament. These indicate that the way to heaven and eternal life is by believing the gospel according to the Bible (Jesus Christ, God's Son, is the only Savior of the world).  We encourage each person to seriously consider Christ's claims as they apply to them.

John wrote: "But although the world was made through [Christ], the world didn't recognize him when he   came...But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12

Jesus told Nicodemus: "I assure you, unless you are born again, you can never see the Kingdom of God."  John 3:3

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

Jesus said to the woman at the well: "People soon become thirsty again after drinking this water.  But the water I give them takes away thirst altogether. It becomes a perpetual spring within them, giving them eternal life." John 4:13,14

Jesus told His accusers: "You search the Scriptures because you believe they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me!"  John 5:39

Jesus told Thomas: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me."  John 14:6

Jesus prayed: ^"For you (Father) have given [the Son] authority over everyone in all the earth. He gives eternal life to each one you have given him. And this is the way to have eternal life--to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.^"  John 17:2,3

The Apostle Paul wrote: "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."  Romans 10:9

"This is a true saying, and everyone should believe it: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners..." 1 Timothy 1:15

"For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and people. He is the man Christ Jesus.  He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message that God gave to the world..."  1 Timothy 2:5,6

Jesus invites you: "Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light."  Matthew 11:29,30

"Look! Here I stand at the door and knock. If you hear me calling and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal as friends."  Revelation 3:20

If you can accept these statements as the truth, then don't delay in telling that  to God - tell Him that you  believe His word and want to accept His Son as your Savior.  Ask God, in Jesus' name, to forgive you of all sin, and to grant you eternal life based on your faith in Jesus, not your worthiness.  Here is a sample prayer that should be said out loud:

"God, I believe these scriptures are true that talk about Your Son, Jesus.  I know that I need Him in my life and that my sin will keep me out of heaven unless You forgive me.  I am putting my faith in Christ to cleanse me - please take away my guilt and let me live with You forever.  Make me a child of God and accept me into Your kingdom.  I ask all this in Jesus' name - Amen."
