"I grew up outside the Church, and then worked twenty years in a secular career (silkscreen printing and architectural signage) before entering fulltime ministry. I have found that God uses my life experience (not just theological training) to qualify me as a shepherd of souls.
As a youth, I experienced a broken home, poverty, immorality, drugs, crime, and violence in an inner-city ghetto. That helps me today as I identify with those who need God, who can't see their potential, or who lack opportunities and resources to improve their quality of life. As an adult, I worked for many years with working-class and business people: people like me who earn a living while going through the hardships of life, and at times, tragedy.
My life was turned around by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I have found Him to be a faithful Friend, a Defender of the defenseless, a God of second chances, and One who continually renews thirsty souls. I invite people of every race and walk of life to come and find what Jesus called 'abundant life' - it's a free gift by the grace of God for all who will believe."
